- Mimmi

After another round of their constant raging at each other about their skills….may as well start the next round.
“Ready?” I asked raising my arms again.
The Evie stepped forward.
“You’ve won around each, isn’t that enough?” She quizzed.
“No, she still thinks that Rita is a lousy teacher.” Sirena retorted.
“Don’t take it personally…it’s not your fault Rita is out of touch.” Ondina answered in a slick tone.
Evie then got in line with me.
“Let’s go.” She announced as I then quickly signalled the start of the 3rd and final round.
They both raised their hands at the exact same time, neither of them showing an inch of weakness towards each other as they battled it out for the final round. Then suddenly keeping her strong hand in place, Ondina then pulled up her other arm and then started to spin it in circles…it felt like a strong breeze was brewing inside (but that can’t be possible….due to where we are). The wind grew stronger as it started to brush our hair behind our necks as my neck hairs were standing on end.
“What’s happening?” Evie had to ask.
I didn’t have the means to answer her as I was just as shocked as she was of how well she can manipulate even the air underground.
I looked down at the pool and released her plan; using the wind as a distraction to secretly pull the boat towards her side, to which it was working…until just at the right moment Sirena released her plan and quickly realised her plan and raised her other hand to counteract her plan; to which Sirena managed to pull the boat back into the middle of the pool.

Soon enough Ondina was doing something with her hands that I’ve only seen one mermaid pull off; my Northern pod teacher: A Weather control spell. To which Ondina is building up all of the air current in this room space as then she is able to summon forth, something else. I could see from her side her left arm curved in and her right arm circling like a tornado, she twisted her arm up further and up until she reaches her head height….which then she clamps her fist and summons a storm cloud right above the boat.
Thunder can be heard as is the wind speed…I’m more scared if she can control this from inside and not let it loose above.

- Cam

On the beach Mr Connery (my boss) was barking orders like mad man trying to summon all the forces he can to try and find Erik; I try to stall saying that I know Erik and he’s a ‘good’ swimmer….and all that jargon, but of course it falls on deaf ears.
‘Great just great….another merman shows up and just like that my life takes another head-first nose dive.’ I thought.
Just as things couldn’t get any more worse than it should; I could hear thunder rumbling as I look up and see a fast moving storm brewing in….i draw the clouds attention to Mick.
“Umm, sir.” I enquired.
I could tell he was about to dismiss my statement; but I grabbed his attention by hold his radio and pointing it towards the sky.
“Ah…we better find that guy quick.” He instructs me as he looked at me eye level.
I sigh as I pick up the surf ski and head out once again to try and see if I can find Erik before any other land-people do.
To which I hope I’m the first one to as they’ll be a lot of questions asked of both me and him; if someone else finds Erik before me….as I was the one caught talking to him before.

- Evie.

Ondina was still building up the storm, as she kept her right hand overhead level and clutched into her fist; while her left was still trying to draw the boat towards her side, flexing her hand right out; like trying to be a puppet master holding onto the strings.
I then caught a glimpse of Sirena quickly raised her left hand towards the cloud…that did nothing, if she was hoping to dissipate it, that went right up the creak; actually hold the phone, she actually started to make it rain as then I’m guessing as the wind picked right up. Slowly the Boat moved towards her side of the pool….then I could see Ondina slightly licking her lips as she re-gained control and then counteracted by bringing it back to a stale mate. (that rain must of caught her off guard….as I guess he’s never seen anyone or any mermaid perform that, especially when it comes to inside).
Ondina the stretched out her hand like before as Sirena tried to amp up her own powers….as then Ondina lowered her dominate hand and began spinning the boat slowly round in circles.
I get it, a sort of round-a-bout trick to which the goal is to prevent your opponent from being able to control the boat while slowly pulling it in the controllers direction….clever move.

The power battle continued just like I’d said in the beginning of the battle, a ‘tug-of-war’…a power struggle; so glade nothing like this has happened in our lives; so far.
“Give up while you can.” Ondina sneered.
Sirena did a mini-flick of her hair behind her shoulders.
“You wish….I saw your face earlier when I started making your cloud rain; and believe me when I say this.” Sirena retorted (in a sort of rub-it-in-your-face way, but gentler). “There’s more where that came from.”
Ondina frond towards her, as if the look was saying: you’re bluffing.
Sirena raised an eyebrow with a smirk: so you think.

While after this little and hopefully last bicker….Ondina I guess had used her words as a distraction to secret pull the boat towards her. It was inching towards her…and believes me it was more like a metre away from her. Sirena then loop-extended her arm towards the boat trying to pull the boat back to her side; it was much further from her before Ondina unleashed out the same trick as before (the around-about), but for some reason it didn’t seem to take an effect as the boat stood its ground by only rocking back and forth like a see-saw.
Then I looked at Sirena her eyes were a glow with something, as I could see her looking  up at the cloud that Ondina had made before, as she then quickly raised her hand towards the cloud….what happens could only amazed…well basically everyone present at the time.

- Mimmi

Intro: I might as well take over….since I’m a way better commentator than Evie will ever be at mermaid games.
Evie: That’s fine with me…as I’m still just as shell shocked right now; I can’t even correctly put into words of what-
Mimmi: alright, alright; we get the picture…can I please continue?
Evie: by all means…

Yes, anyway: …as we observed Ondina’s cloud just as Sirena raised her hand, I caught a familiar sound that I’ve only heard around the Northern waters: Lightening (within a storm cloud). And not just that Thunder added in as….I’ll admit I’ve seen this kind of magic done before….but n-never inside a room or literally anywhere indoors.
Sirena seems to be looking pleased with herself….I wouldn’t blame her as with her recent achievement of making a full on storm inside; Sirena then seemed again to be smirking not at just those who were observing this game, but it was more directed towards Ondina who had a blank face….showing no emotion’s what -so-ever. But this wasn’t a normal smirk; this was a warning as like she had said before…

“…There’s more where that came from.”

And she wasn’t kidding as I could feel the wind vastly picking up speeds and ferocity, as then next the un-thinkable happened….the cloud was building up with static electric (how do I know….i was sort of taught that in the Mako pod, ask me later); and now the hairs on the back of my neck were really standing on edge as I could see a stream of bright electric light flash from the cloud towards the top-middle mast of the ship…a-an actual lightning bolt.
It sent like a shock wave, to which I see Ondina falling straight onto behind, into a pile of old fishing nets. When I looked back at the cloud it had dissipated into nothing as Sirena gentled glided the boat towards her side and touch the front-high mast in victory.
Both myself and Evie walked over to here.
“That was incredible.” Evie exclaimed.
“I’ve never seen anyone make lightening inside.” I commented.
Sirena giggled as bit, I think in embracement. As we looked over to see Ondina still flat on her butt, as she was giving Sirena the grumpy look.

We all hauled in laughter, as she then admitted into a small smirk….as the judge for this game I went over to Sirena and held up her right hand with my left in the air.
“I declare Sirena the winner.” I announced.
Evie cheered her heart out.
“Way to go Sirena.” She cheered.
I then bent down on my knees as I then began to scoop out the boat out of the mini pool, I carefully placed it away from everyone else….as then Sirena knelt down beside me as she then began to evapourated the water off the boat; as she looked up to Ondina who was now back on her feet and slowly walked over to group.

“Don’t let this victory go to your head.” She remaindered. “I’ll get you back.
“Ondina….she won, fair and square.” I remarked.
Ondina rolled her eyes as it was like she wasn’t ready to accept that she lost to her own challenge…talk about stubborn.

- Cam

As was out on the water, still on the surf ski calling out Erik’s name….but also trying to keep a sharp eye out, as if he came to me like he was before, as a merman. There’s no doubt that he’ll be caught for sure….wait a minute, aren’t I missing something? I looked up to the sky to see that suppose storm that was brewing; had somehow re-deuce to nothing.
‘Huh, I wonder how that had happened. The storm practically had disappeared….almost like magic.’ I thought.
I looked to the shoreline to see Mick just as confused as I was, seeing only 1 measly cloud floating overhead…oh, don’t tell me that they-? They wouldn’t?

- Erik

Haven’t heard from me in a while hey? Well I can safely tell you that I found a nice secluded spot, right over near the rock pool…a prefect flat ground loaded with some sharp rock; but after dragging my tail out of the water (and believe me it takes a lot of effort). I did manage to dry myself fully down and report back to the café for my afternoon shift and not with a minute to spare seeing David right there carrying at least 2 trays of drink (one with fresh orders and the other with dirty dishes).
Man as being a manger of this place as well as serve as the waiter…he’s really is hard core. So I smiled as I gently took away the dirty tray of dishes.
“Thanks Erik.” He smiled.
All I could do was nod as I quickly took the dished out back to get washed, then quickly raced out front at again, quickly looked at over the register (to see the latest orders) and then quickly got to work about making these orders a reality.

I’d could say about half-an-hour passed before I heard a familiar set of shoes enter through the front door, I could see that it was Zac out of the corner of my eyes. He marched straight towards the front counter.
“Did you hear about the search?” Zac started up.
“What search?” David quizzed.
Zac leant on the counter.
“There’s a guy lost in the surf, it’s a full scale search and rescue.” He explained.
“…well that sounds pretty serious.”
“Yeah, he just….apparently he just disappeared fully clothed.” Zac continued.
“Cam, he’ll have his hands full.” Dave stated worried.
‘Wait a minute….fully clothed….there, their talking about me?’ I thought

“I’m gonna head down there and see how things are working.” Zac stated as he turned about to head back out there.
“Yeah, well let me know what happens?” Dave asked as he moved away from the counter.
Zac quickly nodded as he turned his back, so I took my chance and ran straight to where Dave had stood.
“Zac.” I whispery called out.
Zac quickly turned back as headed back towards here I’m standing.
“Don’t worry about it.” I tried to reassure him in a whisper. “I’m the one who disappeared.”
I could see Zac folding up his eyebrows as if he couldn’t believe it was me.
“I got splashed and had to dive in.” I added on. “Cam paddled out after me…he saw me.”
Zac leant in as if I could see he feared the worst.
“So Cam knows your-?” Zac concluded.
“I didn’t want him to worry about me.” I tried reassuring him.
“You know there’s a full scale search on?”
I scrunched up my eyebrows….how could that of happened?
“But Cam knows I’m alright.” I stated. “Why didn’t he call the search off?”
“How can he call the search off?” Zac remanded. “You gotta get back down there.”
“Why?”
“As far as anyone else knows, Cam let a guy disappear on his watch…he’s in deep trouble if you don’t show up.” He explained in depth.
I rolled my eyes.
“Why do you care? You aren’t friends anymore?” I had to ask.
Zac slightly licked his lips as he sighed.
“What happened between me and Cam is none of your business….you need to get down there.” He ordered in a sort of tough tone.

It still didn’t make any sense, but I heed his words as I then quickly left the café….as outside I walked almost into Dave.
“Sorry, I heard there’s a search and rescue on…and Zac has asked for me to go in his place.” I quickly thought of an excuse as I quickly walked past him and down the café side steps.
“Tell me if anything important happens?!” David yelled.
“Will do!” I yelled back raising my arm.

I quickly dashed down the side stairs and then made a daring leap into the waters below the patio (underneath the outdoor area of Ocean’s)….as it was daring cause of the people above who could of watched a guy jump in the water full clothed (like what Zac reported earlier). But that didn’t matter now, I need Cam to be an ally…and for this partnership to work in any sort of manner. I needed to save Cam’s skin, so he’ll owe me one in the future; and I can make good use of his favour.
Question is how? As I torpedo towards the main beach of the Gold Coast at top speed. Crossing my fingers that it hadn’t escalated like Zac had told David in the cafe.

- Cam

Still out on the surf waiting on any sigh from above that somehow this new discovery would increase my chances of getting me out of this mess that Erik had started. As my nerves were shot out the water with also the hearing of Mick still barking his orders to some new life savers who had run towards him offering their help into finding Erik.
Fat lot they’ll be, as with Erik being a merman and all….he could practically make himself vanish and outsmart even the bright of minds…
Then a familiar face surface as I lowered my head in a sigh as Erik grabbed a hold of the ski.
“You know how much trouble I’m in because of you?” I quizzed him.
“I can make it go away.” He tried to reassure me.
I raised my eyebrows. “How?” I challenged him.
Erik quickly looked over the board and looked back up at me.
“Follow me.” He said as he did another dolphin dive straight into the water.
I looked back at Mick….he was still barking orders his men, I hated to leave him like this….as with me abandoning my post during a search and rescue.

But since I’m guessing that Erik possibly has been in these situations before…I guess I have no choice but to trust him as I leant on my board and started to follow his blue tail as he kept it near the surface (but to not too near where people could see it). As I guess me being the only land-person who’s ever seen his tail since moving here, as I guess he would be seeing me as his land-help in this situation.
I just hope whatever he’s planning that he has a plan B in trying to save my job and the respect I get from Mick of doing my job.
sorry for the wait...as with the next chapter will be the final of this episode :squee:....:faint:

and then beginning of a new flame of rivaly between Erik& Cam vs. Zac (possibly) :D
