-Mimmi

Another Flash, why were these more occurring. It was hitting like waves the sands, but these were more intense like you couldn’t even stand on your feet to resist them, they would just knock flat.
‘This wasn’t making any sense, I’ve never gotten 2 flashes in a row…let alone one for that long, the last flash I had…it only lasted about 2 seconds….but this one, this one was telling me a completely different story. Mako was awakening, I mean to mermaids the Full Moon is a threat to control our powers, but one thing is still troubling me is why is the island taking some much interest in one land-boy? He’s nothing special, just a nuance a clam that refuses to reveal its true self inside. But why is it showing him….
“Mimmi” I heard a voice.
I instantly snapped out of my trance.
“Whats happening?” She asked.
I shook my head to shake the flash to bring myself back to reality and then turning to Ondina.
“It’s starting.” Was all I said.
We both turned towards Zac, it was really surprising that with the full moon at this strength, it was really surprising of his strength to resist the pull to the island. But we both knew that his strength to fight it will crash at any moment ad he will no longer be able to resist the pull.
“How long do you think he’ll last?” Ondina whispered.
“Not much longer, the pull is getting to him…I’m certainly impressed by his determination, but it will all crumble sooner than we think.” I whispered back leaning back into the chair folding my arms with the vial locked into my grip.
Then Sirena’s song finished on stage, everyone bursting an applause, I didn’t join in as my mind was completely focused on the mission at hand (removing a ‘certain’ land-boys powers), but only Ondina did a politely clap. I then peered my eyes over to Zac, as he fisted her tightening more into his hands, any second now.

-Zac.
After Sirena finished, I felt like I was going to completely lose my mind, being cramped up in the café with the ocean tides whispering my name (well it was like they were whispering a message). I was not now shuffling in my seat as my body nor could my powers keep me in check now.
“I need to get out of here.” I announced jumping out my chair.
“Not without me.” Evie said immediately as she grabbed my wrist.
I turned to her.
“I just need some fresh air.” I tried to reassure her, then she slowly let go of my wrist. “I’ll be right back.”
I then quickly shuffled to the exit, desperate for natural air to see if anything else bar from the power of the full moon’s pull could keep me in check.
Once outside, I felt free, as I spread my arms to the slow rushing winds of the ocean breeze whipping nice and calmly under my shirt and crawling up my skin. It felt so fresh and natural, I breathed a heavy sigh as I turned to the balcony, in which I was now face-to-face with the full moon (of the seventh cycle)…but note this I wasn’t under its spell, I was still my normal human self; the moon looked so crisp and clear, like nothing I’ve ever seen before on any other night like tonight. I could have stared at it for hours on end, but yet another agenda was whispering into my ear
‘Mako.’

“Zac?”  I could hear a new voice.
It was Sirena; at least one of the mermaids had my back.
“I need to get to Mako.” I sighed.
I then turned around to face, to see Evie, Sirena….and a face I did not want to see, Cam.
“You said you had it under control.” Evie said in a soft voice.
‘I do, well sort of.’ I thought.
“Come back with us.” Sirena encourage facing side on to me urging her head towards the café as she stroked my arm.
“Come on man, it’s too dangerous.” Cam spoke up.
‘Like you should talk.’ I thought in a groan.
“This has nothing to do with you.” I snapped, but not in a hard way.
“I know we’ve had our difference, but you need to come back inside.” Cam explained in a calm manner.
“Don’t tell me what I need!” I snapped even harder.
“Take it easy-“ Cam was about to retort back, but instead of him finishing his sentence he was blown back like someone ha shot him in the shoulder with a powerful rifle gun.
We all turned our heads; to see both Mimmi and Ondina as they lowered they’re hands. They were responsible for pushing Cam flat on his back, I could almost hug them for it, but he deserved far more badly than that.
But since they were all facing the girls now, this was my chance to make a break away. So I made a bolt for the Ocean’s peer.
“Zac!” Evie yelled.
But my mind completely tunes out her voice, as I made my way down the peer, cornering around the edge of the walk way down to meet the jetty (and as some of you may know, this was the very first place in which I tried to show Cam my powers as a merman)

Merself: Yo, stop having a monologoing session and let me have some fun.
Human: ….you? How did you-…
Merself:  Oops, sorry must have pressed the hang up…now (rubbing hands together), let’s see what this body can now really do.

As my merself thought this I was already at the end of the jetty, so I did a huge leap into the air, spread my wings as this was the type of freedom I was speaking of when I first caught a whiff of the sea breeze and then made a pro diver splash into the ocean….once my tail had formed (in which it did as my being passed from the surface to the under tones of the water); I then kicked it into over-drive as I flicked into so hard that I shot into the darkness of the ocean like a rocket.

-Mimmi
We watched Zac as he was running down the pier and doing his dive into the ocean. Nothing could have made us happier with Zac doing exactly what we’d hopped and if luck is on our side then the next time we find him should be within the Moon Pool on Mako Island. As I was thinking of this Sirena just gave a me a cold look as we did nothing to stop him.
“You want him to go.” Sirena summoned up.
We said nothing, as I gave her the cold look back , ‘we’re doing this for the pod’ my eyes told her as I looked towards Ondina as then we bot briefly nodded to each other and then made a break for the water.
Both lining up side-by-side as we then dived hands first into the water, of course with the moon not on our side, we had to wait at least 10 sec’s before our tails even started to form.
When they did they gave them both a big flick as we set-off at the same time heading towards our one common goal, Mako Island.

On the trip I gave Ondina a brief look.
‘What do you think our odds are of us removing the boy’s connection to the island?’ Ondina lipped.
‘I’d say we got this 100%....we’ve got nothing to lose.’ I lipped back.
“But what if…I don’t know, something goes, we wouldn’t be a match for his power, especially on the 7th cycle.” Ondina lipped in a panic.
I reached out and touched her hand.
“Hey, we got this…if anything goes wrong, we resort to using our moon ring, as they are just as strong on a full moon, then some boy under the moon spell.” I reassure her.
Ondina just looked as me as she stared at the ring on my right hand (as that was the hand I was using to try and calm her down).
“How can you be so sure that he won’t retaliate on our rings? Remember he’s got the moon on his side, to him were just hatchling in terms of power use.” Ondina sweated.
I moved closer to her.
“And here I thought you had faith in our plan?” I teased.
Ondina smirked.
“I do, it’s just right now I can only think of floors of this plan; using magic to forcefully take away his powers….it’s like sucking out another’s souls, he’s had that form for 6 cycles; I seriously doubt it will willingly separate from his body.’ She stated.
I was silent.
“That ‘form’ has caused our kind to endure nothing but pain and isolation…and it’s finally time to hit right back where it hurts the most, removing his powers. I can bet you they’ve caused him nothing but a burdened, not being able to feel the warmth of the water as a land-boy, always a freak….were doing him a favour, it’s all in his and ours best interest to remove his powers to protect our secret.” I explained.

Then we kicked it further into over-drive as we wanted to just make it there just after the boy had made it to the moon pool.

-Zac
Further ahead, I only did a brief look behind me and then looking up from the stream of bubbles in which were lining my trail towards Mako. The Moon was still clear in the sky and this time nothing was going to stop me from achieving this goal, whatever it may be (last time it was all about the trident….now I’m not even sure why the moon was fighting for my powers). But knowing that the merman had a goal in mind, I was going to volunteer let him have my body.

Merman: Whoa, you’re suddenly too nice for my taste….it’s creepy
Human – Well last time you forcefully had my body, as to getting your hands on the trident….but now, I have no idea of why the moon would let you take over?
Merman: You really have no idea? My gosh you must be a crazy as her.
Human- (that brought my mind to full attention)….who? Who are you talking about?
Merman: You’ll find out….sooner then you may think (he smirked)

Once I could see the blurry image of the volcano shy high above the darkness of the ocean and was the only n which the moon was near, in which means the Moon pool will be come on soon, so I started flicking my tail even faster as the merman within me didn’t want me to miss out on this event….whatever it may be. Pushing  further ahead the only things that were in my way was the reefs surrounding Mako and the marine life in which were mostly likely sleeping within their own homes.
‘Please try not to wake them up…I’ve spent the last 6 months building their trust and I don’t want it all to be for nothing.’ I thought to the merman.

Merself- *sigh* fine, I’ll try….but I can’t trust those mer-chicks gaining on us.
Human – What?! How?! When?!
Mer: Okay, for merman you ask a lot of question.
Human: But, I’m only a half-breed….
Mer – oh, you’re so much more than you believe yourself to think.
Human – what do you mean by that?
Mer- (he was silenced, either like he said too much…or too little on the situation at hand)

Then as if by chance as soon as I surface, I was within the walls of the volcano as it began to activate as the bubbles form the effect of the full moon beginning to pass over the top lid of the in-active volcano. I spread my arms as I took in the powers in which the moon was feeding into me….this power, it was like nothing I’d ever felt before on any other nights like this. I just swam there hovering within the water drinking in the wonders of this place.

Then I heard another mini splash, in the corner of my eye I could see Mimmi and Ondina surfacing. I turned my head slowly to face them.
“This is my island, leave.” I demanded in a calm tone.
Both of them looked at me cofounded.
“Your island?” Mimmi spoke up as I noticed her holding a vial or something in her left hand.
“You heard me.” I repeated in a much deeper tone.
“We’ll see about that.” Ondina remarked raising her eyebrows.
I was silent, I didn’t like the sound of that as I looked over to Mimmi as she un-corked the bottle, placing the cork on the side of the pool. Then she held the vial in front of her as she slowly began to pour out the content …but here comes the weird part, instead of it sinking into the water it began to hover and swirl like a swarm of insects buzzing in a ball.
Once the content was emptied, I then saw Ondina raise her hand out of the pool a she then used her powers to push the ‘whatever-it-is’ towards me, as it drew towards me I just swam there in one spot as it began to create a cage around me, of clear greenish liquid.
‘What is this stuff?’ I thought. ‘What are they planning to do to me?’
Then Mimmi joined Ondina as they both rose they’re right hands towards me, I was about to do the samething. But the liquid cage they’d created was too small for me to raise my hand normally straight, I was defenceless, no powers, I was sunk.

-Mimmi

Our plan was working, the ‘50-moon spell’ was working…the caging of the victim was only the first stage of the spell, next was now waiting for complete cage to form over the victim and for the moon to be in position. This spell was for the win, I’d heard that this spell was even used during the war between mermaids and merman it was very effective: it managed to en-trap at least 5 merman and dry them, until they looked like olden and ancient. But for one reason or another, the council forbid this spell for future use as it dwindled our race of mer-folk (both mermaids and merman alike) down to only a couple of 100.
But still on a normal half-bred merman, the spell should and will only remove his powers as a merman and thus return the originals owners of the island to the mermaids.
The cage was formed; it swept right over around his being giving him only just enough room to keep him afloat and yet not enough room to use his powers. This spell was fool-proof….nothing could prevent this moment from when we were to claim what is rightfully ours.

-Zac
Great, sunk, out-numbered…my breath, it was shortening, why this there’s no kind of magic that could physically take away a person, let alone a merman’s.

Mer- Great, another fine mess you got us into.
Human- Hey, you were the one who got us into this mess…you had control of my body.
Mer – Look, just shut your mouth and help us figure a way out of this…as I don’t like the looks of things, that Mimmi girl has a number of spells that could and would easily put-me down.
Human – wait, are you saying that she could kill you? Us, she can actually kill us?
Mer – unknown, but I have witness this type of power before….but only with one particular mermaid, she was a killer when it came magic and by the way this spell is taking…I’m guessing she could.
Human – then why are you sitting there like an idoit? Help me get my body out of this, you’re the one in control remember?
Mer- I can’t do anything…this dome is blocking my powers and at any attempt at freeing us. I guess all we can do is wait this out.
Human – so that’s it? You’re giving up? You’re going to let them kill me….your host body.
Mer- you were always a host body…you were something much more.
Human - *sigh* yeah like what a dry up sack of bone? Oh, wait you’re going to give me the silent treatment…your no true spirit; you’re a burden….if I could have one wish, is to have my normal life back. Have no memory of you or the ways you’ve turned my life upside down.
Mer – You think me a burden….look who has saved your life so many times, like when you entered the trident chamber without my power you could of easily drowned and also the time I helped you save your girlfriends life. Face it, without me you’ll be just another face in the crowd; another fish in the sea. Now stop your whinnying and sit back. It will turn around.

I stretched my arms out (as much as the dome allowed me) to feel the texture, it was a like an electrical current, the faster it span the more resistant it was to me getting out of here. As soon as I touched my hands against it, it sparked my in which I immediately removed my hands splashing them down into the water.
“What is this?” I demanded.
“Your mistake for being what you are.” Ondina answered cold as her arms did not flinch.
I looked towards Mimmi who only briefly met me with her eyes, then shook her head.
“You had this coming, when you drove us from our island.” Mimmi said.
“The whole thing was an accident….Sirena should of told you, it was wrong place wrong time.” I pleaded.
“Oh, she did tell us…but unlike us, she had her head messed with the trident in thinking that you were just an innocent land-boy. You really had us going, believing you were a pure…but we see you, all i see is killer or our world.”
I tried to plea again, but the buzzing of cage as the revolution got faster and faster…it drowned out any chances of someone rescuing me or hearing my voice.
another intense moment....the next will defiantly have the change into will flip the life of one of Zac's cloest completely upside down.
And to those wh have watched it will know whom I'm speaking of. :D
